The Sickle Cell Bulletin was first published in print as a quarterly magazine in 2006 to provide information on the management, care and support and now CURE of the sickle cell disorder (SCD) in Nigeria. However, awareness and knowledge about the sickle cell disorder remain abysmally low. This is why publishing the Bulletin online has become imperative in order to reach all the nooks and crannies of the globe and educate the world about this potentially devastating, yet preventable condition.

The online edition of The Bulletin is rich in content comprising online chats, interviews, Q & A with the National Director/CEO of the Foundation – Dr Annette Akinsete, Video Logs, articles, columns, lifestyle tips, healthy eating, Art for medicine, medical word games (especially as relates to the sickle cell disorder) and lots more.
